Outdoor Furnace (Wood Burner)

Anyone have something like this that they built themselves

Thinking on making something to heat the house and hot water

Dont want anything indoor as no room and too much prep work would kill off any budget.

I see those Barrel Stove kits online but am a bit sceptical.

Cant see anything made out of blocks/firebricks.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated as have plenty of wood.

It's an interesting idea but I don't see how you can avoid much of the prep work in bringing the heat back into the house. You would avoid work involving the exhaust gasses/smoke indoors, but you would still need to run pipework.
The idea behind a wood burning stove is really to contain and distribute the heat from the stove itself. You would lose much of the energy created.
