Iranian Embargo

    An academic question.

    Sine Iran have been placed on embargo and now Tehran are no longer selling to uk and France. What stocks would you invest in as a result of this. I won't be doing it but I'm curious at how investors who are in the business think bout issues such as this.

    You would buy anything with exposure to oil prices...

    For example an ETF that tracks the price of oil using derivatives or one which buys shares in oil producers.

    I prefer owning shares directly myself...

    From another angle, you could also see people turning more to uranium investments as despite what governments are saying about moving away from nuclear, there is no viable alternative out there at the moment. Notice how they say they will close them in 10 years time... Hmmm when they are out of office!
