    Hi,
    I got tickets for someone for this match but I didn't take into account where the different supporters sit. I know nothing about sport of any kind and realize it was stupid to get the tickets without finding out first.
    So, are the supporters all mixed up? or do they stick together? When I booked them there was no indication about it, I'm afraid I've put an Irish Leinster supporter in with all the Cardiff folk.
    What's the deal rugby people??
    Please help :confused::)

    Ther won't be many Cardiff fans travelling and most will have bought through their club so will be together. The ones you bought will mostly be with Leinster/neutral fans.

    Usually for rugby games the tickets are not segerated. But if they are and you bought the tickets on a Irish site, you will be sitting with local supporters.

    They could be sitting with anyone really, but by and large your friend should be seated around some people who are cheering for Leinster.

    I went to the semi last year in the Aviva, was sitting on my own, and had Americans for company. I had to explain every second decision, but they were nice folk, a man of 60 or so and his daughter. He had gone to blackrock college a long time ago and I was explaining 20 odd years of rule changes to him, which was good for a bit of craic.

    I'm a munster fan but a supporter of all things Irish rugby so I went a long. There was a good few lads in connaught, ulster, munster jerseys, along with various English, Welsh, Scottish wearing their own national or club jerseys. 'Away' fans were minimal, and the majority will be cheering on Leinster. Your friend probably won't be sitting with the diehards, but will enjoy the atmosphere nonetheless.

    As an aside, I quite enjoy sitting with opposition fans. The banter is always good hearted and they're always good craic - win, lose or draw - during the match, and afterwards in the pub. I'd take that any day over exchanging bile with the Irish (I'm as guilty as anyone) during a poor Irish performance.

    Ok, that's a relief. The tickets were the last two together in one of the high up sections, so I was worried that that section had been filled for a reason. It's great to know there is good chat and camaraderie between all the people there and you can even wear your shirt from other rugby teams, he's actually from Connacht but will be cheering Leinster. Sounds like good sportsmanship and a good laugh and how it should be across soccer and everything else.
    Thanks Phew! ;)
