How much to fit a hitch to a car please?

hi all,

Bought the bike, want to fit a hitch so I can use the hitch bike carrier.

Anyone got an idea/rough ballpark figure on how much I should expect to pay to get a hitch fitted?

I don't need the wires, won't ever be towing a trailer.

The car is a 2002 corolla hatchback (in case that makes a difference), and I can get it done in Galway or Limerick easily enough.

Just want to get an idea before I go ringing garages - want to know at what price to hang up!

You'll get different prices for different botch jobs. The proper way is expensive.

What is your definition of expensive in figures please?

All I really want to know is if I'm talking more like 200 euro, or 500 euro or what?

Should give you an idea. Fairly reasonable for the bar itself, but does get pricey when you include fitting.
