That felt more like an episode from a few years back, a nice balance for me.

Good start with the cars, the challenge was ok but even for how short it was it still felt stretched out. Enjoyable episode.

Maybe I picked it up wrong, but did I hear Clarkson have a go at their own India Special for not being that good? Fair play if they did; guess they knew themselves it wasn't their best work.

    Hehehe @ Fenton.

    Yeah, went something like:
James (talking about the new Ferrari FF): It's not their finest moment, is it?
Jeremy: No, they should've called it the 'Ferrari India Special'.

Enjoyed the first two segments, the electric car looked brilliant. The Ferrari FF looked a bit of a mess, reminded me of a BMW 1-Series.

Last segment was a bit predictable.

I wish they would put the new stig around the track in the old car for the F1 drivers leader board. Clarkson threw away the old stig time the last time they had a F1 driver on.

Also still waiting on Luis Hamilton to come back and race on a dry track. He has only done on a wet one.

Would you to take Serbs time to be the benchmark seeing as he is the current world champ, doubt stig could beat his time

Watched it last night on the iPlayer and was in stitches at the Fenton bit:D

Still haven't watched all of last week's show though, must catch up.

One of the best episodes in a while, all good.

The Fisker Karma was interesting, though I would of thought a small diesel engine would be more efficient than a 2L petrol for running a generator.

The Fisker is also in 'Two and a half men' as Waldens car.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Yep, good episode, and I loved their admission of 'India Special' being crap - that was the best part of the show I think.

Hammond was good in this weeks episode, nothing seemed overly forced

I was thinking that Bout the electric car too, but I suppose its cos diesel is rarer in the states

Just watched it there on iPlayer, pretty good balance. Thankfully after last weeks one the season is back on track. Damn solid season so far.

Que the PC Brigade about how it somehow portrays disabled people in bad light, the constant use of the Armed Forces, & how insulting to the Irish & Germans it is to say "Top O' The Morgan To Ya'

Will fix this exactly how it should be fixed, tomorrow. :D

    (or something to that effect)

Huh? No it didn't, I don't recall them being anything except respectful to the soldiers.

Yeah but that won't stop 'em! I thought James Mays closing thoughts about car companies and mobility was a good one.

The Top of the morgen bit just made me cringe a little bit.

The PC brigade will be rabbiting on about how those evil imperialist soldiers got hurt when they were invading another country and they got what they deserved blah blah blah.

Uhhhh, not likely. I think some people around here are simply looking for things the public might complain about. Even the most left-leaning British are quite respectful to their troops.

Are you for real?! The Guardian easily offended brigade will latch onto anything at all possible when it comes to Clarkson

Please yourself; I'm willing to bet they won't, and that's coming from someone who reads the Guardian :). If anything, the whole sequence conspicuously spent most of its time showing the 3 lads making pratts of themselves in their chairs, whilst the squaddies simply trundled up the hill. *shrug*

Tbh, the prediction & expectation of a backlash is almost as predictable as the PC-brigade's reaction itself at this stage. "Rhubarb rhubarb, I bet they'll hate on this etc. etc." :)

None taken, but then you seem convinced that those who do read it are capable of nothing else but offence :)

But don't let me stop you convince yourself of shadows around every corner ;)

Most newspapers are these days, don't read the Guardian religiously anyway & doesn't really negate anything I said though.

Ha, ye, maybe for driving, but it'd be ideal for this application.

It's probably more due to the Americans generally not using diesel in anything smaller than a truck, and it being more expensive than 'gas' there.

Anyway, these hybrid cars aren't the future, Brian Johnson has the right idea with Thunder Guts.:D

Eh, not really. The only question mark I had on the first part was Clarkson's 'right, let's do wounds' remark, which was a bit odd and a lot of TV coverage of disabled people does solely focus on their impairments. This wasn't the usual Top Gear/MoD quid pro quo exercise, thankfully, which is only "offensive" because it's backslapping 'here's our latest kit' pap. You're reaching with that "Top O' The Morgan To Ya' comment.

Maybe people are too busy complaining about the Beeb's coverage of the Whitney funeral to sign up for membership of the "PC brigade".

That Prius looks ridiculous. Now, I must get back to reading the Guardian, have to somehow maintain being morally perfect. ;)

    Fenton, Fenton, Fenton :pac:

Didn't hear any flack about the fat ones in the Fiat Panda and I'd like them to start taking the mick out of Hammond's teeth again. :p
