Was in Dingle for the Weekend, so took a spin to BallyFerriter and checked out the Chorca Dhuibhne pub today. Stocked up on the porter (available in 330, 500 and 750 table bottles). The nice surprise was that they also had a lovely Amber Ale on cask, that they are hoping to bottle soon. It was a lovely smooth Ale, so looking forward to when it comes out.
They also said that the Porterhouse Company is going to open a whiskey distillery in the area as well, (not a joint venture) so all good news from the kingdom!:D

That's fantastic news about the Porterhouse opening a distillery.
We really should be tapping more into our fine distilling tradition.

Heard them talking about it on dee radio a few years ago. They were looking for investors at €10K a pop. Probably turn out to be a good investment.

I tried the porter the other day - it's lovely stuff. Hopefully availability will be more widespread now.
I like the sound of the amber ale too.
