Mullet / Stepped Hem Skirts

    Hi

I bought this skirt in A wear yesterday. http://www.awear.com/skirts/farrah-stepped-hem-skirt/invt/10784972burgundy/

It is one of these "mullet skirts" as they are so called. I have a few nice plain / white tops / jumpers- both chunky knits and more light ones that would go with it.

However deciding on what type of shoes is bit of a problem?
I am not a high heel wear especially during the day so was thinking maybe a low heel or some sort as am only 5ft 2 so flats with it may make me look too short.

Also given the chilly weather at the mo I was thinking nude tights may be well worth too. A friend was saying I could get away with black tights a low heel and it could be dressed down enough for college.
    What does everyone think?

I have a black one that I wear with black tights and biker boots for a casual look. I think it's too early for bare legs/nude tights during the day, would look a bit weird and cold!

A pair of brogues would also look nice, ones with a proper sole not the super flat ones you get in Penney's etc.

I think the skirt and low heels would be a bit dressed up for college, but that's just me!

I think the material in this skirt screams 'dressy' and probably not suitable for college. I would think it also needs some type of heel - perhaps some sort of a mid size ankle boot in black with black tights or else a pair of Mary-Janes?
