Opinions on which is better? Using google apps for email in work. Colleagues mostly using Outlook as their email client.

I used Google apps too. Use Mail all day every day, have no problems with it. Years since I used Outlook, always found it bloated.

Outlook for Mac seems to still have layer upon layer of code that dates back to sometime around the dawn of e-mail.

It's an awful heap of an application and should be avoided if possible!

    Sounds unanimous. :)

Just set it up and was very straight forward. As most colleagues are on outlook will meeting requests work properly with them?

If it doesn't just don't meet them. If they're using Outlook they are probably not very nice anyway........:D

I do like the simplicity of mail, I must admit, but not too sure about it on Lion.....

mail didnt sync well with my hotmail so I was kind of stuck with outlook. that said its not too bad really...

its a bit clunkier than mail and has the usual pletora of buttons and tool bar icons that microsoft load onto everything so It would not be as pretty as mail, but It works pretty well for me.
