Accessing photos on iPhone without using iPhoto

I recently got a MacBook Air and I'm trying to access the photos on my iPhone 4. I don't want to use iPhoto as that adds unnecessary steps to my processing. I just want to access them through Finder or file system. But the iPhone isn't showing up in Finder, like it used to on my Windows machine.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

OK - a Twitter friend just told me about Image Capture. Problem sorted
