    Hello,
Anyone having trouble getting the MBC network on Arabsat during the day. The other transponders are fine but 11919 H 3/4 has no signal.

    Please check if you can.

    JD.

    Hi Greenman,

That transponder seems to be on reduced power at the moment. I'm using a motorised 1M Gibertini dish and I usually get all transponders on Badr 4 but 11919 is almost unwatchable today although a slight nudge of the dish improves it a bit. Hopefully this is only a temporary situation and it comes back to normal soon. Otherwise, it looks like a bigger dish will be needed for MBC in the future.

No signal for me today either. Well actually 4dB signal not strong enough to lock. Could be a fault with the tp or could be jamming as suggested by the last post in this thread from another forum. MBC on 7 West was jammed last year but not on 26 East AFAIK.

    Thanks for the replies.

All is not lost LOTH is watching MBC now on Nilesat. She thought it was something I had done, then blamed the receiver, all is now resolved.

    Many thanks JD:)

Yeah,, MBC messy. Is there ok but breaking up too regularly for enjoyment.
As iba, (hi iba) 1.1 Triax with Inverto Black Ultra LNB for 26E.

Back 4 me now too, but unwatchable - too much breakup and sound coming and going.

How do u know the DB strength?

My Dr HD F15 receiver reads signal strength in dB's but I have no idea of how accurate it is. Around 4.2 dB is enough to scan in signals and the scale goes to 20 dB which I get on Astra 1N. I posted my impressions of the receiver a while back.

11919 is back to full strength with me today. No break up at all. I usually have to reposition Badr 4 about once a week to keep track of its drift as my dish is only 1M and at the moment 25.5e is stronger than 26e.

Back to normal now 10.5 dB 60% on AzBox. Strongest tp at the moment is 12182 11.4 dB 70% on Az.

Syria was rumored to be jamming Al Arabiya who've now changed transponders and holding card left on 11919 :)
