Canon 550D - Help

I've had my 550d for almost a year now and I've been pretty happy with it. It hasn't let me down and has been extremely useful. The one thing I noticed is that the lowest ISO on my camera is 200. I cannot access 100.

It's a genuine canon product purchased in a shop and it's something that I can't find resources for online. I downloaded the ML hack to remedy the situation but unfortunately in Manual photo mode I can still only achieve an ISO of 100. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

Not familiar with the camera at all, but does it perhaps have an option of L? Some bodies have L to represent a 'Lower' setting. Some have H for higher.

Though that said, L is usually reserved for ISO 50, rather than 100.

Thanks for the reply. It should be available in manual also. I filmed a short last year using two 550Ds and that's when I noticed the difference. Was pretty miffed because I thought it was a firmware issue but I'm up to date with everything.

Have you enabled Highlight tone priority?

Check if you have extended ISO active in the custom settings although I would have expected ISO100 to be available by default. Alternatively reset the camera to factory settings and it should be there, if not then there is something odd going on.

My ISO 100 is available out of the box in all settings, manual, auto and semi auto.

Except when Highlight tone priority is enabled. This limits the minimum ISO
setting to 200. I suspect that this is the cause of pandaboy's problem.

Sorry, didn't get email alerts on this.

Thanks hbr. You were right. I just amended the settings there. I never really played around with custom settings before.

I'm glad you got it sorted. I have been caught out by previous settings
many times. The usual culprit is the 10s timer. When you are trying to
catch a fast action shot, the last thing you need to hear is the beep, beep
    beep of the timer.

Yeah it had me worried. This will help a lot now with longer exposures, yay. I never really gave it a good going over when it came to menu adjustments.
