TV Show Laugh Tracks

    Do they bring anything to the show?

    I've recently started rewatching Sports Night an Aaron Sorkin show about the running of a nightly sports show. But they have a laugh track, telling me when I'm supposed to laugh. I don't need it, its not a sitcom per say, its more of a drama though it is quite funny.

    I can understand it in shows like Seinfeld, Friends, Big Bang Theory etc but this is a different caliber of shows and I find it distracting.
