So he thinks liberals are acting illogically by being against the death penalty as well as being pro-choice? But when you flip that argument around he's being just as illogical.

While I may agree with 'Wild Bill' that abortion is a sad and terrible thing, and something that Christians in general have failed to tackle properly as a result really of not being a united alternative for 'mums' to provide the love and help required, there are so many places to go when one feels alone, but it can be confusing too - I will disagree with him that a babies only crime is being an inconvenience to his/her 'Mother' - that's simply not true.

Babies are 'wanted' and not 'wanted' by both male and female - their inherent value doesn't come about by either parent, but as a consequence of their being - despite both parents.

If we can't love the Mum and support her, how can we even expect to judge her properly? This is more complicated than Wild Bill suggests - and it's not always about the woman - the 'woman' deserves compassion and respect first and foremost, and not a little support, there is nothing that proclaims a person less manly imo, than abandoning a Mum or convincing her that a child never happened, or shouldn't happen....and then condemn her afterwards as beyond Christ, beyond retribution. A Mother, a woman, is very special and her choices, even if they don't coincide with our ideal need to be approached with respect and love and nothing less, because she has been hurt enough.

Good to see you think it illogical anyway.

    I don't, he does.

Well, let me clarify, being anti capital punishment and pro-choice isn't illogical, but being pro life and pro capital punishment is illogical. :)

Ok, lol, I'm sorry if I jump in head first - I have a habit of it :o The topic needs to develop too, with more than lmaopml's particular insights, sorry - it's a good topic.

Funnily enough, I disagree.:) I think the video makes a good point.

No need for apologies. I happen to agree with you. No doubt the thread will take on a life of its own, which is fine of course. The video is odd though, in that I don't find myself looking at rednecks and thinking 'Good point' very often. i think there may have been a flux in the space time continuum or something :)
