Wedding on a Sunday?!

    I would like to know if it's possible get married in any churches in Armagh diocese? We have asked local priest bit no luck there. Can you get your own priest and just use local church, pay for use of the church. Has anyone done this???

    I love the venue but the only date next year is Sunday! Bank holiday!

    Think you need to get permission from the bishop or something and find a priest who will do it.

    I think you can only get married in Cavan on a Sunday. I think it is up to the bishop in each diocese to decide if weddings can take place on a Sunday.
    I am getting married on a Sunday but I will be having a civil ceremony in the Hotel / Hotel grounds. One of Tom Coltons registrars will be doing the ceremony. Also- you can get Mid week rates off the hotels on Sunday - Even on a Bank Holiday :)
