Enthusiast's Day Trip!



On 2nd March, we'll be running our third Airline Enthusiast’s Day, offering guests a behind-the-scenes look at the airline industry in the UK. This trip follows on from two successful events in October and December.

We will also be holding a fabulous competition - all those on the "Enthusiasts Only Flight" will be entered into a prize draw and two winners will receive a shared 1 hour session in our A320/A321 flight simulator, with each winner getting 30 minutes at the controls to experience this unique opportunity.

Itinerary:

0600 – Assemble at Monarch Airlines’ check-in, Terminal 2,
Manchester Airport
Collect Roundtrip Boarding Passes for roundtrip flights to
Chester

0800 – Board “Enthusiasts Only Flight” MON380 to Chester

0820 – Depart on MON380 to Chester
The flight operates on a Monarch Airlines Airbus A320-200

0900 – Arrive at Chester
Passengers Transfer to Airbus Conference Suite

1000 – Airbus Presentation, followed by a Health & Safety video
This will be followed by a Q & A session

1045 – Split in to 5 tour groups – each group will be accompanied by Monarch and Airbus staff

1100 – Groups will tour one of the following factory sites;
- North Factory – A350 Wing Plant
- East Factory – Long Range / Single Aisle Plant
- West Factory – A380 Wing Plant

1215 – Break for buffet lunch at Airbus Old Canteen / Function Room, courtesy of Airbus

1315 – Groups will tour one of the following factory sites;
- North Factory – A350 Wing Plant
- East Factory – Long Range / Single Aisle Plant
- West Factory – A380 Wing Plant

1430 – Completion of the tours & return to flight operations to prepare for departure

1515 – Board “Enthusiasts Only Flight” MON350 to Manchester

1530 – Depart on MON350 to Manchester
The flight operates on a Monarch Airlines Airbus A320-200

1610 – Arrive at Manchester Airport Terminal 2

1630 – Coach transfer to Monarch Aircraft Engineering hangar

1640 – Escorted Tour of the Monarch Aircraft Engineering hangar

1800 – Coach transfer to Manchester Airport Terminal 2

1810 – Arrival back at Terminal 2 & Goodbyes

The whole event will be escorted by Monarch Airlines & Engineering staff members who will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions, and the factory tours will be led by Airbus members of staff.

Each Enthusiast will visit 2 of the 3 factories at the Broughton site.
