I need a new one, where's the best place? Better off buying online?

Also, is it just a case of screwing it off or is it glued or what?

The one that's in it is scratched so looks bad, and I want one with no numbers (Gears reverse etc)

    Car is 99 lexus IS200

A quality product. Leads one to question though, what emergency would warrant use of a clown nose to save the day

Kudos on the excellent thread title. If your (gear) knob is in bits maybe just cover it with a plastic cover of sorts?:D

Have you tried Knobs and Knockers on Nassau Street? I was titillated when I found a knob there last summer that fit my door just perfectly. They do all shapes and sizes and have knobs that are very versatile in their application.

Tal, our resident expert on knob-polishing, CM, is shouting at me to tell you to try polishing your own one with Autosol first. ;):D

Dunno what's with all the jokes

Anyway, do I use two hands when twisting my Knob off or will I try it one handed?

Hmmm ... well, CM says he's always only needed one with his own, and even at that it was hard to get a proper grip, but that occasionally he's needed two with a stranger's ...

    Congratulations on your knob transplant.
