    Hi,

Where could one aquire the services of a top solicitor in the Kilkenny to Castlecomer area? I have little knowledge of the area. I was in court there two years ago for driving issue, I appeared twice in court and on second day the solicitor I had acquired didn't even show up (sent someone else). I got banned for 4 years off the road for no insurance issue because it was my 2nd time up (previous time I got let off with a warning after Garda tried to have me banned off the road as my insurance was not cover until midnight and I drove my car and was stopped at 23.45) I have had to serve 2 years completely before being allowed to appeal.

That's just a rough idea of what has happened.

Anyway, I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction as 2 years are almost up. If anyone needs more info for recommending a solicitor plz post and I'll do my best to help.

    Thanks.

After 2 years it is not an appeal it is a restoration. For 4 year ban you need to serve 2/3 of the disqualification. If you want to appeal you will need to make application to DC to extend time. 4 year ban on second offence no insurance while high is not unheard of.

Thanks for that, appreciated. Could you recommend a good solicitor in the area?

Could you shed some more light on this topic? As in, likeliness of winning appeal or anything else you can add that you might think will help.

    Thanks.

I used michael lanigan on patrick street in kilkenny. I to had an insurance issue and he got me off. He was very good to deal with on the day. He has a legal secretary who was excellent. I had rang three other solicitors in relation to my issue and they were all gimps!!!
