    Hey there, Just wondering can anyone give a rough time frame for a tax refund.. Submited paperwork xmas week.. was told there was a refund due to me. Just wondering on the wait time. thanks.

    I think its normaly about 6-8 weeks unless you have your bank account details set up with them it might be quicker.

    Would also depend on how busy they are or meant to be! :)

    Refunds submitted by paper can take anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks. Reductions in staff numbers + increased claims at this time of year mean anyone in a hurry or not even in a hurry should use the online service where possible, which has a turn around time of 48 hours.

    Since it was Christmas week, I wouldn't bother at this stage. Just email your local paye section with a request for an update on your paper claim.
