Good point. I am not sure. I had a look at the manual and I searched on the web. I can't find the answer.

The only thing is on tvtrade all the USB drives been sold are 2.0. So guessing, the Triax R112 can't be 3.0?

Well I dont know much about USB but I know 3.0 is only out a while and not sure if it is compatible with 2.0 ports.

AFAIK USB 3 is backwards compatible with USB 2. In other words a USB 3 device will work on a USB 2 port but obviously will only operate at USB 2 speeds.

In the end I got a '32 GB Transcend Jetflash 600 USB 2.0'. Read rate 32Mb. Write rate 12Mb. (The 64GB has a 18Mb write rate.)

It was the best one I could find. Good reviews on Amazon.

Handy for the small amount of recording I'll do off Saorview.
