    Hi,

Was out on the drink a few nights ago and lost my drivers licence coming home (walking, before anyone say anything). I was drunk to say the least and don't have an idea where I lost it. I do remember how I got home and what route I took but it was about a 10-15 minutes walk so I could of lost it at any stage coming home. I've yet to phone all the Carriage Offices close to me (phoned a couple already today) as I could of possibly lost it in the taxi but amen't sure.

My main concern is of course ID theft, if someone did find it which I reckon someone has.

Am I overreacting here or what ?

I've already reported lost at my local Garda station, that was done the morning after and filled out the form for lost/damaged driving licences.

I've yet to reapply at the tax office as I haven't got the chance yet.

Once the licence is reported lost/stolen, then it's cancelled until a new one is issued.

EDIT: I see you've already informed the Gards. The licence will be cancelled once the info's received from the tax office. You should re-apply for a new ASAP. Is it not possible to apply on-line?
