Getting a Dress Stocked?

    I've just found my perfect dress online, from a designer that's stocked in a few shops in Ireland. The trouble is, none of them have that particular dress. It seems that if I want it, I'll have to order it without even trying it on which I really don't want to do. Has anyone ever managed to get a particular sample dress stocked by a bridal shop without having to actually buy it first?

    I've heard of shops getting a dress on loan before. This might be an option.
