So I rooted my Samsung galaxy S 1 and updated it to ice cream sandwich, but when I play a video it won't auto rotate. I don't have auto rotate on as I don't use it all the time . But before I updated it . It done this automatically. Any ideas ?

You want it to auto rotate but you dont want to turn auto rotate on?

What app are you using to play the video's?

rotation like you're describing is all down to the particular rom that you're using. my current rom performs exactly like you want, rotate in browser but not in main display/menu. the last rom I used needed auto rotate on for the browser to rotate which was pretty annoying. you should really raise your queries on the.thread you got the rom from (I'm assuming xda)

Video's from youtube will rotate with auto rotate off in Dolphin browser but not the stock browser on ICS. Just tried it there. Im on CM9 alpha, build 16.
