    got a kit from http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=KNIFE_MAKING_KITS_10.5CM_SWEDISH_CARBON_STEEL_BLADE
took 3 days after work, well worth the 45 euro. The blade is very hard carbon steel takes a great edge,

well done and best of luck with your knife.

How difficult was it to assemble the knife. What tools did you need. . Is it possible for someone with basic skills level.

    for sure its realy easy
all i used was table vice a drimmal with a round sanding drum and saw. then glue and wood stain.
what you see in the link is what you get, there is basic instructions with it but google is your friend and there is no limit as to what you can do.

For anyone thinking of making their own knife, have a look at www.brisa.fi ,The EnZo blades are class and scarily sharp, have a look at a trapper, for a general purpose hunting /gralloching knife.
I have a trapper blade and a block of Ambonya burl in the shed since Christmas:rolleyes:,may get stuck into it shortly.

Fair play, looks super, do you mind me asking how you secure the handle to the blade, can't really find anything on youtube, would love to give this a go

i did it in parts the dark bits are leatrher spacers, the tang i think its called stops 20 mil from the back of the handle, I just used a 4 mill dril bit to make the hole and angled it back and over to make it wide enough.
it tapers from 15 mil at the blade to maybe 6mil at the handle end. clamped the balde after a dry fit and used gorilla glue and a heavy weight to glue it over night, then just shape it after.

i got my dad one for fishing same kit his came out completly different to mine
