Can anyone recommend a decent motor mechanics/repair book? I want to learn more about cars and how to fix them. Something up to date and more focused on Europen cars would be ideal.

For how to guides look at Haynes manuals, for a deeper understanding about how things work and not just how to replace them look at Hilliers Fundamentals of Motor Vehicle Technology. Its a bit of a heavy read but I am finding it worth while.
