    Hello.

I am in the process of finishing the outside of my new self-build house.

i have one front gable that I am doing with stick on stone. I have left a 2 inch reveal for this.

What type of stone should I go for.

The gable has got one scratch coat with waterproof bonding.

sorry but don't really know anything about stone types and I have got differenct quotes for different types up to €1000 of a difference with some.

    any suggestions welcome.

what part of the country are you in? best to ask your local stone mason/or architect what the vernacular stone and style is - also what was proposed on your planning app?
