    Hi,
My friend has a company which is not trading and he received a notice that he has to fill in P30(i think, might be wrong) on a monthly basis, and he sent only one form, which they did not receive.

My question is , how can he fill those forms, i was looking for them on revenue site, but could not find them. hes not trading and has no employees. So as far as i see all he needs to do is send in 'zero's' in the form. But which form's exactly.. there are more that one definately. Can someone assist?

He doesnt want or can spend hundreds of euros for accountant to fill in 'zero's' in those forms. So , would appreciate help with this matter :)

    Hi

I understand that you can no longer file P30s manually but must register and file them online via ROS.

You should therefore register for ROS and pay and file them in that way.

    Kind Regards

It's throw away comments like this, that have no founding, that give accountants a bad name.

If the company never traded and he never took a salary from it, nor had employees, it probably should never have been registered for PAYE in the first place.

I've had cases like this in the past where Revenue has been pragmatic about the whole thing and just cancelled the registration without having to file nil returns. It might depend on the district office though. But it certainly wont cost hundreds of euro in accountancy fees :p

Well the fellow never wanted to register for one, until he would start. Accountant's registered him for that and other things and charged him :) this is why he doesnt want to get back to them, just have the forms filled in and keep it that way until hes ready to start.

There was no intention to insult anyone or anything. I did start registration with ROS for him , as it is now required to do so, but unfortunately the confirmation number did not come and it's 2 weeks now as waiting for it ... :(

    Hi

Ring revenue or your local tax office that deals with the company together with the company's PAYE registration number and ask to have the PAYE registration cancelled as you have no employees and your company is dormant.

They will most likely agree to do it over the phone as they have more things to be doing then chasing nil P30 returns.

    Kind Regards
