Summer internships for non-Irish students

    Hi everyone!
    I am Carolina, I'm 19 and I'm Italian.
I am studying Law in an Italian university I am at my 2nd year (still 3 years missing to graduation).
Last summer I came to Ireland (Dublin & Galway mostly) with 2 friends and I really fell in love with your country.
Therefore, I am considering applying for a summer internship in a law firm in Dublin for summer 2012, which would combine my love for Ireland and my career.
I sent many e-mails, but the only "positive" one was from Arthur Cox: they told me to send my CV and my marks before March 8th. Does anyone know how many chances do I really have? Also, when will their internship take place approximately?
Does anyone have some more advice for me? e.g. another law firm to send an e-mail to, or something to include in my CV ;)
    Thank you very much indeed
    bye bye

The larger firms have structured internships that you have to apply for through their website rather than sending an email / cv directly. They would be quite willing to entertain an overseas applicant based on my experience of who we have had in on internship.

    MOP Internship application - https://www.apply4law.com/mop/
McCann FitzGerald Internship application - http://www.mccannfitzgerald.ie/careers/summer-internship.aspx
    A&L Goodbody Internship application - http://www.algoodbody.com/en_sta/internship-programme.aspx

There are three to have a look at. I suspect (but don't know so look yourself) that the following firms may have structured internship schemes - Maples and Calder, Eversheds, Dillon Eustace, Mason Hayes and Curran and William Fry. You mentioned you have already contacted Arthur Cox.

They'll all take place at defined dates over the summer (generally for between 2 weeks and a month) and you will generally be paid.
