You can get the cert yourself. There is a process to go through which involves a garage signing that the car is what it says it is and I declaration from yourself. I cant remember fully. IM sure someone here will clarify it. I wouldnt waste my energy on trying to locate the dealer. They are not going to help you.

thanks everyone for the replies. on carzone their name redirects you to crystal cars. have contacted the guards and got some advice. am going to try registration office in shannon. any more advice much appreciated. I thought buying through a dealer would be safer than private sale..it kills me to think I,ve been scammed..

Can you tell me what Garda have said to you? We too have been scammed by these cowboys to the tune of thousands of euros worth of repairs to a car which will still have no log book for. They disappeared the week after we bought the car after promising to repair it. They actually had our car on the lot in ballymount on a Friday supposedly repairing it, rang husband said they had sold the replacement car we had and they needed it back, husband met them they swapped back cars and assured him they just waiting on part to come in and would be in contact Monday, off he went over on Monday and they were gone.
We have been to their 'new lot' in clondalkin and they maintain they were only working for last garage, they have no details about who owns it, where they are gone, and they said TOUGH. New lot has all the same cars as last lot, actually only thing different are the disposable telephone numbers they are using.
I cannot find any registered businesses operating under any of the names they have used in last few months
    JJ car sales
    J&S car sales & now
    Crystal cars
They have moved from walkinstown, to crumlin, to ballymount and this week are in clondalkin.
If anyone intends visiting them please be careful as one of the gangsters had a crowbar in this jacket!!!
I don't know how these guys sleep at night! Pure scum!
Anyone else thinking of buying from them please run a mile!

Trust Me ! Stay clear. Sold me a car recently. OK the cert went through but there was an oil leak (seals on two of five cylinders needed replacing) and they said timing belt was changed at 85K. It wasn't !! (totally blistered at 95K). The guy also had his goon touch up all panels of the pintwork with something where it left fingerprints all over the paintwork which won't come off !!! Why would you do that (honestly....spiteful bollox).

Anyway, I've noticed that they are advertising cars on donedeal.ie with the same spec (i.e Timing belt done at 85K which is bull)....

    What can I say...buyer...beware !!!
