I don't know if I am in the right place but being Dental issues, I might get better feedback back here.

Is there anybody on this forum who is a Dental Nurse and could give me some positives and negatives about working as a Dental Nurse. Thanks.

    Hi there,

I am a qualified dental nurse, and I find that it has both good and bad sides to it. It depends on your attitude aswell I suppose.

So far, I have worked with six dentists in total. Two of these were nice, the other four were very horrible to me and made me question my reasons for being a dental nurse. I always put my best foot forward from day one, and tried my best to do things their way but I was still constantly put down and made to feel very much lower class.

The work itself can be quite tedious and boring, because you are going over the same thing each day. The patients make the job worthwhile though, and often see you as their lifeline and trusted friend.

If you can put up with a lot of orders, and can adapt quickly to each new dentist you will be grand though. Hope you get on well with this career.
