getting dental work done while feeling sick

    Is it safe/ok to get dental work while you have a flu? have a bad flu the last few days and suppose to have an appointment today.

    It's too late in the day for the OP, but as a general note, it's considered a courtesy to the dental staff& to other patients to reschedule your appointment if you have a bad dose of the flu.
    Reading the magazines in the waiting room, touching door handles on the way in and out, (breathing!;))ect ect....risks spreading the flu virus to others.
    Having to repeatedly take breaks during the treatment to cough/sneeze is bad from a cross infection control aspect in the surgery itself, and also from a time management aspect- the next patient may be kept waiting.

    If you are even considering having work done- then it I'd not the flu... Just a cold. You should be curled up in your bed with the flu, especially man flu!!
