Recruiting for Red Cross Cycle Unit

    To All Cyclists in the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Area,

    The Blackrock Unit is recruiting especially for cyclists to join the unit.
    Bike responders are a quick response at large events such as the ST Patricks Day Parade and other similar events.

    All training is provided free to members and uniforms and equipment is supplied, this includes the bikes. Training will start off with Basic First Aid, leading to further training as Cardiac - Emergency First Responder and for suitable members Emergency Medical Technician, the previous courses are registered with PHECC.

    It is hoped that if we get enough members, we can operated the bikes in teams of 2, one bike equipped with AED & Oygen, one with Trauma equipment. Ideally members would have to 18 years or older.
