Thanks in advance. I have two sky boxes in my house and since last saturday all of the irish channels are either gone or breaking up and freezing on both boxes. The guttets around the jouse were cleaned last week and i am wondering if the dish may have got moved alightly or did water or dampness get into the lnb. All of the other channels are workinh perfect. Just wondering why only the domestic channels are acting up. If i leave the system along and its dampness yhats the problem might it dry out over a short period or will i have to get someone out to go up on the side of the houae and adjust the dish. Thanks.

If you are having problems have you checked the signal level in the menu on the Sky box?

If the dish is more than 5 years old it probably needs replacing, otherwise a re-adjust and/or new cable might do.

I would not wait for it to fix itself, as the problem will return. If both boxes started casuing problems the same day then it's probably a dish alignment

Its back now and perfect for some reason . Im guessing dampness must have got into the lnb or cabling as yesterday was dry and bright and it must have dried out. I wonder why it was just the irish channels that were knocked out for the five days.

Your dish may have been moved a bit. You may have been having problems picking up stations from Astra 2d. Yesterday all the Irish stations were moved to Astra 1n from 2D. This satellite has a stronger signal here. You may still have promlems with some of the bbc channels. But again these are due to move satellite soon too.
