imy resistor from the interior heating fan blew recently. i bought a new one on the advice of a mechanic as he said it happens so just replace it. i did so and the new one blew immediately after plugging it in.
fuse was fin and the current running to the resistor is roughly 12.7 v
I wired a 40 amp fuse directly to the broken part and it melted but didnt blow?

    can anyone help?

does the heater fan work on speed 4 with the reistor pluged in or does the fuse for the heater fan just blow?

no the second i put the resistor in it blew the resistor. the fuse didnt blow at all. think it could be the fan unit that is short circuiting the resistor?
