I want to add a dishwasher waste to the existing waste pipe for the washing machine.
The Washing Machne hose is pushed down the vertical pipe with a P trap .
This pipe cant take the two hoses
There is no sink, to take the two connections.

Can I get a connection to take the two hoses on the existing upstand pipe?
(similar to the sink wastes) .

Or do i have to put a T connection ,& 90 elbowabove the P trap and put in an extra upstand pipe?

    Hope you get my drift

Better to T into the existing at low level because if you have both appliances pumping out at the same time it can back up and overflow.

    Yes and yes.

The max. output ( flow rate) of the two waste hoses will determine the connection to the waste pipe.
If both hoses will have a combined flow rate larger than the waste pipe can take: No and no.

Hope you get my drift (smiley).

    Thanks for replies,
In relation to flow from two hoses I would have if double attachment for a sink is ok then it would also be for the upstand pipe would also be ok ,

If there is no fitting then I will add a 2nd upstand

You dont need to go and add a second upstand and the flow from the washing machine and dishwasher in full throttle will easilly go down an 1.1.2" pipe.

Leave one in the top and buy a washing machine kit in woodies or the like and tap into the side of the upstand pipe. Then secure it with a jubliee clip.

Try and have it tapped in below the hose that is down the pipe so the residue does not cause the hose stuffed into the pipe to smell.

    If you catch my drift.
