Have a look at this RTÉNL-Saorview brochure regarding the reception of DTT - http://www.rtenl.ie/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Saorview-DTT-October2010.pdf

Do you currently receive the 4 Irish channels (RTÉ/TV3/TG4) with the aerial?

Here is a pic of the aerial, and yeah i get all RTE 1, 2, TV3, TG4 perfectly with the existing aerial connection. They are fine for the moment but i wouldn't mind getting it sorted as soon as possible.

That is indeed a UHF aerial & with a couple of exceptions, if you're getting your "perfect" analogue channels from a transmitter that's also broadcasting Saorview, you should have no problems receiving it.

Are you actually in Cork & what part?

That's a UHF aerial and as you're receiving all 4 analogue channels the Saorview channels will be available when you connect a Saorview receiver.
