I've always had an interest in Inny Junction station, which seems to be ireland's answer to Riccarton Junction in that it had no road access.
Here's an ordnance survey map as it was:

Would anyone have any photographs of the station as it looked in it's heyday? Not a trace remains today.

I don't recall any of Inny Jct published, it's one of those places that didn't attract much attention from enthusiasts when open.

The only existing photograph believed to be of Inny Junction.

There would be more than just one, but you won't find much online. National Library and IRRS library are the places to go.

Does anybody know if it is possible to walk this route (or something roughly approximating it) without getting shot by a farmer? I grew up in the area and there was something left of the right of way about 25 years ago. It would be an interesting route to explore.

I pass Inny junction on the train about 8 times a week and there is very little left. You really need to know where it is to be able to see any trace of it.

Technically, you would be on private property and trespassing. In reality; if you explain what you're trying to do, most farmers are pretty tolerant of walkers, provided you close gates after you and don't disturb crops or livestock. Don't bring a massive entourage with you and leave the dog at home.
You will need to bring maps with you, lengthy sections of trackbed may be levelled and hard to pick up where you should be headed otherwise.

Interesting walking guide of the former line here detailing distances, maps and elevation, not that you can actually walk on most parts!
