If ya get this months shooters digest they are advertised at 7 50 for cocks and 9 for hens. Martin moloney is around the same price he is in clonmel. Most lads deliver too when ya are buying a number of them

thinking about releasing some too. 7.50 sounds alot better than 20 euro and 12 euro anyway!

what is the name of the lad in clonmel?

i think adult birds would work better as out of the club only 3-4 would have interest in poults as most of the members of the club want a easy life.

Bracken Hill will be selling caught up pheasants in early march, I dont know the price but they are usually very reasonable. If you are calling them, leave a message and they'll get back to you. They are difficult to catch in the office!

tbh im not sure of age,i wasnt there when we collected them as far as i know they were caught up end of jan/ early feb, and i think they were caught up at the end off a shoot in /near donegal, they were in good condition and fairly wild, and were very high flyers, great testing shots, the lad delivered them, my mate told me had an artic load of aleast 10/15 thousand birds on board heading for laois, we caught 60 cocks as area was full of auld hens, and a few wily auld cocks, and we needed fresh blood and it has paid off:D:D;) have seen a lot of younger cocks for nxt season;)

i cant for the life of me remember the lads we got the birds off last yr for a 5vr a bird ,but he came down from donegal, with an artic load of birds and was heading for loais,he dropped our birds off on the way thru, as i said in earlier post i wasnt around the day the birds were delivered but i think we are ordering more this year for around the same price a bird this yr,if i get his details i will duely pass them on to ye, by all accounts he was sound to deal with and delivered as agreed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 493 ✭✭pheasntstalker

the lad who ordered the birds for us is gone to oz for the foreseeble future, his sister is married to this lad,and its bein left to me to order them this yr, ive just bein told ,we not a gun club just a group of lads who have permission to shoot the same land, and we buy in to top up before the season starts ,but im strongly thinking of buying in phoults nxt year
