    Hi Guys,

    I am currently considering leaving my current employers and going studying as i will be sitting final exams in june that i want to study full time for. Will i be eligible to claim social welfare at some point? i have been in regular employment for 8 year and have never previous claimed?

    I think you will be disqualified from receiving SW for 9 weeks if you voluntarily leave a job.

    I think you will be disqualified from receiving SW for 9 weeks if you voluntarily leave a job.

    Also, as you will be studying full time, you won't be able to claim Jobseeker's until you are, as you need to be available for and looking for full time work to claim this payment.
