hey , I have an old Toshiba laptop running xp , and I have a copy of xp professional and I want to install xp pro as its an old laptop, and is freezing up from time to time, but the thing is I "fixed" my aunts dell latitude which was running vista with a copy of vista (not original) and the wireless drivers never installed , so I dont want to install xp pro on my Toshiba laptop and have the same missing driver problems , so any ideas? Im a bit of a newbie as uve probably guessed so any clear information would be appreciated.

Your best bet would be to go to Toshiba's website and download the necessary drivers before you start, at least get your wired/wireless LAN driver and the video driver. Save them to a USB flash drive or external hard disk. That should give you enough to go online and get the rest when you can see what's missing from Device Manager after the reinstall.
