Anyone know anywhere that does this?

If I give LxWxH, can they do it?

    Cheers

Dublin Flightcase Company do it http://www.dublinflightcase.com/ pricey though.

Good few places in the uk do it cheaper, might work out better for you with shipping. Best bet's to send off a few emails for quotes.

Consort Cases in Kilkenny have made stuff for me. Depending on what you need, have a look here:

    Thanks.
I've found a DJ CD case type thing hat will fit one of my setups for €59 which is and, so just need to get one more measured up.

Asked Dublin Flightcase company for a quote a few days ago. They never bothered replying.

These guys seem good (flightcasewarehouse.co.uk). I've still to check out the Kilkenny place.

Got a reply today from DFCC. It quoted me over €300 for a flight case of dimensions 610mm x 410mm x 180mm.

Ouch. Think I'll go for the €59 option.

I've asked the Kilkenny crowd for a quote so I'll be interested to see that.

Fair play to Consort Cases in Kilkenny who got back to me within 90 minutes.
Although at a quote of roughly over €400 I won't be taking advantage of it.

Yeah any custom built cases are gonna be a lot more expensive than something mass produced and off the shelf. They only really come in handy if you've got something odd shaped that you need a snug fit for, otherwise it's thomann or somewhere else online.

Investigate their website. Do you really need real international airways flight-case durability? Maybe your dimensions are pretty close to something they already produce? That'd be cheaper... They have a chart of stuff they already make somewhere in there...

I only say this because I bought a case off them to use for my pedals. I opted for a plastic moulded shell, because if you're not throwing it into the bowels of a 747 every other week, that's enough protection for me.

It cost me about €150, including couriered delivery, and they 'customised' it for me at no extra cost by making the lid a lift-off one.

SOrry for dragging up an old thread, but I heard there is a guy in Mullingar who makes flightcases?

I still haven't bought the cases. Sitting down to scope them out now by coincidence.
The best options I've seen so far is on thomann or music store. prices are around the 100 - 150 mark.

    Just to finish up.

I bought the CD cases in the end. €80 something on musicstore.de
Unfortunately they weren't in stock so I had to wait til halfway through October for delivery.

So, I've took out the dividers (for the CDs to be stacked alongside each other) added another lock to the outside of the case for extra durability as I was terrified the (rather flimsy) locks originally on it would open while I was carting the equipment about and spill it out onto the street.

Kept the equipment in crates which fit into the cases for extra protection and secured everything in place with heavy duty velcro (something I thoroughly recommend).

It's worked out great. All I have to do is open them, everything is pretty much ready to go, just plug in and assemble a rack for the FCB controller and I'm ready to rock!
