Can TV3 be got in N.I. with a Sky sub by tuning it into "other channels"?

Don't think so,you're not missing anything anyway- it's basically UTV lite.

Have a look in the terrestrial forum about Saorview reception in N I via an aerial.Depending on where you are you might be in luck.

Thanks zerks. Its for a mate's father in law and he has the other "home" channels through Sky but TV3 was the only one missing. I think I read somewhere before about a problem between TV3 and UTV concerning advertising rights or something like that.

I was sorta hoping that it may have been possible to perform the reverse of the "card trick" that has been mentioned here.

Nor are you missing anything since you have C4, C5, ITV and BBC instead.

Have a look here, you'll need the appropriate equipment for reception.

Its a bit odd when you think about it. We can store UTV for example in the other channels yet someone in N.I. cant do the same with TV3.

Im just wondering will TV3 be on Saorsat at any stage?

    Thanks for that zerks.

From my knowledge of the area he should be able to pick it up on Saorview handy enough but with the right equipment as you say. This is a big problem for people in N.I. as a lot bought their HD TVs with freeview built-in and thought that they would have no problems in getting the home channels from here.
