    Hi

Who is the best companion to have and how do u get them, I have Lydia now but got her when I was on Level 8, and I heard that they do not level up when level up so I would like to know should I get a new one now I am on level 19, if so who and what do I need to do to get them.

Also with your Companion if u give them a good armour and weapons do they use that all the time out do u have to tell them to, how do u get them to use a Bow and get them to stay back from the toe to toe fighting?

Once you give them better stuff they should be ok. They'll automatically wear whats best really. Lydia had this annoying habit of using the staffs I gave her on enemies.

Do they level up as u level up, or better to change to new one?

I got the mage in the Riften pub.
I put extra armour on him and yes, that helped level him up.
    I found him great btw.

Does he fight like other mages in the game. Staying at a distance.

I play exclusively as an archer and having traditional tank like players running in and blocking my shots is a pain in the ass. A mage might be a good companion for me.

Have to admit have no interest in babysitting a companion - just doesn't appeal. Instead I double cast my Summon Dremora Lord spell as much as I want - let them go in and chew up everyone :)

exactly same for me.. cant be bothered with companions so just summon bita back up if necessary!

    Summon 2 drem lords.. Carnage!

    Pretty much :)
Just hate when they get in the way of my sneaking. Nice advantage with two though - makes some of those troublesome bandit fights a bit less annoying.

If you want to level up your sneaking, having a companion rush in sometimes helps. While the enemy attention is on them you stay hidden and pop off stealth bow kills. Levels up your sneak a treat
