Hello everyone. i am new to this forum. I just got engaged and very excited about it! My fiances family are Italian and we would like to have the wedding there, preferably somewhere in the South.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this and any tips in organising? Our main issue is we really want an Irish wedding in italy. So there would be late music, late drinking etc. Any ideas how we can make this happen as there seems to be a lot of restriction in places?

Its early days but would love any help or tips! :)

    Thanks

    Hi!

If you plan to party until late, you may want preferably to choose a place that you would book in an exclusive way for the day of the wedding and the day after as well ( and why not for the entire week if this place offers accomodation for part of your guests), as a lot of wedding venues would tell you can party until 1 in the morning... and this is a true limitation for you coming from abroad...

    good luck with your preparations....

I have been speaking toDaniela i event angels...she has loads of venues..Maybe if you explain to her what u need.. sounds like a private villa might be the thing..If you rent the whole thing u wont disturb anyone..
I too am looking at destination wedding...Italy seems expensive...!But I would recommend talking to Daniela Tripodi in Evnt angels if you need a planner. She knows her stuff.
    Congrats xx

    Hi there.

I was at a wedding in this hotel last year. http://www.relaisblu.com/en/

It was amazing and went on until 6am. If you book out the hotel they allow you to play music until 2am and then you can stay all night. If you want any more info just PM me.

If it's a Catholic church wedding, just be careful that you check out the local clergy's attitudes to 'wedding tourism' very carefully.

I know a few people who had difficulties with some local clergy / bishops 'cracking down' on non-locals using the churches.

    Hi

I was at a wedding of my best friend in the south of italy. In a place called cilento and it was brilliant late night drinks, dj, everything was brilliant. My wife booked the hotel through the wedding planners amore weddings and they had us in a beautiful hotel on the beach where the wedding was at. i recommend "amore weddings" because unlike my own wedding my bestfriend didnt have to do any work!! http://amoreweddings.ie/

    Hope it helps
    Cian
