The security van which was transporting approximately £100, 000 worth of Nikon camera equipment from the Dublin NPS Roadshow was targetted by criminals on Saturday and all the equipment stolen.

Included in the haul were demo versions of the Nikon D4 & Nikon 800 which are currently not available. The equipment was stolen before 10 oc on Saturday night from an unmarked van parked near The Phoenix Park.

    They sure are. Probably fast ... and cheap .... <__< ... >__>

would they really go to the trouble of taking photos of the stuff or copying and pasting images of the stuff onto internet ads? that's a lot of gear. more likely it'll pop up somewhere over the border or in the uk surely. minus a few bits thrown into cash converter shops in dublin.*

*conjecture. not from actual experience. :D

But who leaves a security van parked on the street. That's just asking for it being stolen.

either that or the cameras didnt work :-)

nikon decided a way to get out of showing them, he he

no but seriously, sounds a little odd, like someone know what was in the van or something

sounds like a really good advert for nikon.....have a van load "stolen" and "leak" onto the web......everyone likes a bad story and clicks the link to see what was "stolen".

    clever advertising :D

could very easily be someone who is not familiar with Ebay/the internet - account was only set up a few days ago and fast auction ...usually means its a good idea to avoid.

if I was the winning bidder no way would I paypal the money - I'd insist on personal meeting.

That's all quite old gear, looks like he may just be flogging it off quickly.

You're right that gear is old, but price was not adjusted to the market. It's very strange at least for me. Also seller didn't want to share information about serial numbers which makes this advert even more suspicious.
Anyways it's marked as sold now.
