Nightlink to Kingswood

    Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a Nightlink that heads to kingswood near Citywest. Thinking of moving there from Saggart and this would be a stumbling block if there was no Nightlink service. I know the 69N goes to Newcastle - Rathcoole - Saggart but does it go back into town VIA kingswood or does it go via the Naas rd.

    Cheers

I don't think there is - last stop on the 69N is Saggart and the 77N terminates at Westbrook Estate.

Why don't you ask DB if they could extend the 69N or the 77N to Kingswood?

I'd imagine the 69N does return to the city empty via the N7.

Was thinking that. Im guessing you could ask the driver but you dont have any guarantee that they will head that way. Checked with DB and theres no nightlink listed for Kingswood but I might ask them if they will extend either the 77N or the 69N. Wouldnt hold my breath though.

Well to be fair last year the 46N was extended to Ballinteer and Dundrum after passengers requested a service be reinstated.

It would not really be an issue for the 69N as it has to go from Saggart back onto the N7 to get back into the city.

    Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

7N was also (semi) re-instated to Dalkey after complaints/requests.

Seeing the last stop on the 69N is Saggart Village, the only reasonable route back to the City would take the driver along Bianconi Avenue in Citywest. Maybe you might ask the driver to drop you at the stop there?

Whenever I get the 69N home I ask the driver if they'll drop me at the Green Isle on their way back into town and they always do.It's still a pain the arse having to stay on all the way to Saggart, but still better then walking home from Watery Lane at 4am in the freezing cold!
