    I believe they are in some petrol cars too although much less likely to fail due to the different torque & vibration characteristics compared to the diesels.

    Probably in loads of big petrol stuff.

    Mk5 Golf GTI has a DMF.

    They are being fitted to many modern larger engined petrol cars.
