Are there any regulations about how often a debt collector can call you?
The ESB have been calling every day up to 4 times a day looking for money as the account is a month in arrears.
Seems a bit much being able to call as often as that no?

According to MABS its 3 times per month.

Let the calls go to voice mail and save the messages, tell them when you will pay and how much you will pay then tell them not to contact you by phone, mail only. It's well worth looking at the mabs website for a budget you can fill out and send to the esb detailing how much money you have available to you to pay bills.

Or post on the 'talk to esb' forum:

I had the same problem with three, they changed their calling policy a month after I complained to comreg.
