I was just looking for any advice anyone might have about buying cheap road bikes. My Limit is about 350. Is it possible to get a good bike for that price.
Borrowed my cousins bike last summer. Brand new specialized Secteur Triple sport. So going to find it hard to go back to anything that's not a road bike:p

I've seen brand new bike for sale, with delivery for 250 Euro.
Its called a "K Lite Italia" Anyone have any opinions on them?
In and around my budget there seems to be a couple trek 1000s and lots of unknown brands. Is 350 too little for a good second hand road bike?

Btw I would be using it for 60 KM rides, and a small bit of commuting,I'm 6 foot. Was thinking of getting a Giant rapid 3 ,but not sure I could ride anything else after using drop bars.

I wouldn't think the K-Lite would be a good choice to be honest. It also does not have conventional brake lever integrated shifters AFAIK, it has handlebar mounted shifters. I dont know too much about it but i presume there will be someone along shortly who will be able to give you better advice.

Also, I bought this bike last year and would recommend it... although at 450 it is above the budget you mentioned by a little.

I've one of those bikes. Great bike for the money IMO. It will be well able for 60k spins and more. I've several thousand kms on mine and it's still going great. I'll be upgrading later in the year but I'll definitely be holding on to the old one for training etc.

Thanks for replying Donnelly and hiDEhi.
Was just wondering, are the stem shifters that annoying? Is it difficult to change to STI? Have a set of SORA shifters at home, and was thinking of putting them on the K-Lite,Ive had a look at those shifters that donnely mentioned and they seem horrible:/
