    Hi anyone use a 100wat bulb in the lightforce 170?
    And is it advisable? Currently mine has a 75 and would like too know if ye had any problems afterwards. Thanks for replys in advance:)

    Just looked at the box off mine and it says the bulb is 100 watt so shouldn't be a problem in yours id say.

    Review here says it has a 100W fitted.

    IMO you cant beat the original bulb!! i tried the 100W and found the 75W better i ended up with a very wide beam when fully focused!! the vertical or horizontal filament can also alter the beam. basically trial and error

    You need the correct 100w bulb from osram that lf recommend, not just any 100w, or any osram bulb.

    I use 100w, pro is fantastic light, con is power consumption.

    Will get you the right bulb part number tomorrow, on phone now.

    Some strikers come with 100, some with 75, our used to anyway, may have changed since.

    Bulb in mine is an Osram 62138HLX 12v 100w. Its a vertical filament , which will give a tight round spot.

    As johngalway says it is indeed a special bulb , Its a type of projector bulb.

    Osram part numbers from correspondence I had with Lightforce:

    "50W- 64440

    75W- 62137

    100W- 62138



    These numbers are located on the top of the box and also in little writing on the bulb itself.
