Hi, looking at a garage conversion, its currently attached to one side of house. Current floor to ceiling height is 2m. does anyone have a link to a guide where I can see the regulations for a garage conversion? Thanks!

You need 2.4m clear internal for a habitable space. Often this means breaking up the (often) concrete roof over the garage.

A converted garage is now becomign a normal room so it must meet the same limits.
2400mm. There are allowances for localised heights of 2100mm, such as under single downstands, or bay windows. But not a whole room and not 2000mm.

    New ceiling and roof required
